marketing can be a powerful tool for businesses who seek to
reach out to new clients or to inform current ones about new products
or services that may be of interest to them. It can also, in the press
of a button, destroy a relationship with a client should those emails
be regarded as spam by either the client or the ISP who delivers their
mail. When deciding to engage in an email marketing campaign, it is
imperative that the marketer covers all the bases, including making
sure that all of the addresses have been obtained in accordance with
the rules pertaining to spamming. It also means that all clients have a
means of "opting-out" should they so choose and that the email is
relevant to the client, timely and personalized enough so that they
know their name wasn’t harvested from a random list or
scraped from a website. |
